The shelf, simplified

See the books. Lose the clutter.

Cover art takes the lead in a clean, responsive grid. Open any title for ratings, status, notes, summaries, and the details that matter.

01

A library that feels like a room you want to enter.

Browse by status, search instantly, sort the shelf, and move between books, insights, and audio without waiting on the web.

  • Books and audiobooks can be shown together or separately.
  • Book-shaped covers gain a subtle spine; square audio art stays true to its format.
  • Long shelves are paginated, and hidden books remain available to restore.
  • Every cover and title record is stored locally for offline access.
Books

Keep every kind of read.

Add a title by search or enter it manually when no catalog has it.

Audio

Keep audiobooks in the same library.

Bring Audible metadata into the same personal library, or add an audiobook yourself.

Details

Remember more than a rating.

Keep your own status, stars, notes, summary, dates, and edition information.

Reading, made visible

Your year has a shape.

Insights turns your reading history into something useful: current reads, yearly progress, reading frequency, favorite authors, format mix, and patterns that are hard to notice title by title.

Helpful connections, careful rules

Sync should add context—not erase your choices.

Saga can complement your local library with Goodreads and Audible information. New titles and useful metadata come in; your own ratings, notes, and carefully edited details remain yours.

Never downgrades your dataA lower outside rating does not replace your Saga rating.

Audible syncing requires the Audible app from the Mac App Store and permission in macOS Privacy & Security. Saga explains the setup in Settings.

Local by design

Your library has a real home.

Keep Saga’s database in Application Support, choose another folder, or place it in a locally synchronized cloud folder so two Macs can use the same library safely.

DEFAULT Application Support A private local home with no setup.
OPTIONAL Your cloud folder Use Dropbox, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or another local sync service.

A shared database is opened by one Mac at a time. Saga uses a lease lock and careful SQLite checkpointing so cloud storage does not turn convenience into a damaged library.

Nordic color, your way

Quiet enough for the covers to speak.

Choose Snow, Fjord, Pine, Cabin, or any custom accent. Match the sidebar or let it become glass. Avenir Next keeps the interface clear, with additional font choices waiting in Settings.
