Skue 1.1
Skue 1.1 is a deliberately small, chromeless camera viewer with quick switching, a Stay on Top pin, local camera settings, and automatic recovery when a stream is interrupted.
Viewer
- Resizable edge-to-edge video preserves the camera’s shape and fills the window without black bars.
- Drag anywhere to move the viewer, or right-click to temporarily expand it within the available screen.
- Draw any square, wide, or tall focus area and keep that exact camera region while resizing the viewer.
- Right-click a focused view to compare it with the full camera, or use the reset control to restore the original view.
- The camera chooser, Stay on Top pin, focus control, and close button appear on hover and fade away when the pointer leaves or Skue loses focus.
- The camera chooser keeps a stable width when space is available, so short names such as Garage are shown in full.
- Controls reflow in narrow focused windows, with balanced camera-name padding and Cabin-red active states.
- Closing the viewer cleanly stops playback without leaving hover work behind during macOS window teardown.
Cameras, reliability, and privacy
- Customize, reorder, import, and export camera names and full RTSP addresses while keeping settings private on the Mac.
- A frame-aware playback supervisor detects failed starts and genuinely frozen pictures, retries gradually, and rebuilds the player after repeated failures.
- Recovery pauses while the Mac sleeps or the network is unavailable, then performs a fresh local connection check when service returns.
- One owner-only last-known-good camera list can recover a damaged settings file without searching for or importing data from another app.
- Private local diagnostic logging omits camera names, stream addresses, and tokens and is never uploaded.
- Check for updates manually from the Skue menu or let Skue perform its quiet daily version check.

Installation
- The signed, notarized, and stapled installer places a verified prepared copy in Applications without changing camera settings.
- Atomic replacement, rollback protection, post-install launch retry, and optional one-click Trash cleanup make installation reliable from Safari, Dropbox, and ordinary local folders.
- The finished installer and installed app pass an automated endurance check covering repeated launches, clean quits, settings recovery, signatures, Gatekeeper, notarization, and archive extraction.
