Settings remain on the iPhone.
Feed addresses, their order, enabled state, and listened history are stored only inside Nytt’s local app data.
Nytt is a simple iPhone and CarPlay player for the short audio briefings you choose. It finds the newest update from each feed, plays them in your order, then tells you when you are up to date.
one tap · one queue · done
Nytt does not bundle a catalog, recommend shows, or ask you to browse while you are getting into the car. You add the feeds and decide the order beforehand.
Every queued episode must be 15 minutes or shorter. Long programs stay out of the way, and a source with no current short episode is simply skipped.
Wired and wireless CarPlay use the same quiet experience. Feed addresses, switches, and ordering stay on the iPhone. In the car, Nytt is reduced to the briefing, the queue, and familiar playback controls.
Three short updates · ready
Nytt is being designed without an account system, advertising, analytics, telemetry, tracking, or a Verkheim server.
Feed addresses, their order, enabled state, and listened history are stored only inside Nytt’s local app data.
Nytt requests only the RSS and audio addresses you entered. There is no Verkheim service in the middle.
No microphone, location, contacts, photos, camera, tracking, or notification access is needed for the core experience.
Nytt is Norwegian for news, or what is new. It belongs beside Skriv, Saga, Skue, Bro, Vern, and Rydd: a short Scandinavian name broad enough for the idea, but quiet enough to stay out of its way.
news · what is new
This page is an early look at the idea and design direction. Nytt is being built as a native iPhone app with a CarPlay experience; there is no public beta, App Store listing, or application file on this website at this point.
