No account. No advertising. No analytics. No telemetry. No tracking. No Verkheim server between your phone and the feeds you deliberately add.
To work, Nytt keeps the RSS addresses you entered, the names you assigned, their enabled state and order, and identifiers for episodes you completed. This information remains inside Nytt’s local application data on that iPhone.
Importing or exporting a feed list uses Apple’s Files picker. Nytt receives access only to the JSON file you deliberately choose or save; it does not receive general access to iCloud Drive or the rest of Files.
Removing a feed removes its saved configuration. Deleting Nytt removes the app’s local data through the normal iPhone deletion process.
When you refresh or play a feed, the iPhone connects directly to the RSS and audio addresses you entered. As with an ordinary web request, that publisher or hosting company can receive the device’s public IP address, request time, and a standard network user-agent. Its own terms and privacy practices apply.
Nytt does not insert a Verkheim proxy, tracking identifier, account identifier, advertising identifier, or listening-report callback into those requests.
Nytt’s planned first release does not request access to the microphone, location, contacts, calendars, reminders, photos, camera, media library, health data, local network, Bluetooth data, notifications, or App Tracking Transparency.
Internet connectivity, background audio, and the CarPlay audio entitlement are application capabilities required for playback. They do not grant Nytt access to those personal data categories.
